The fortified City of Dubrovnik……
Dubrovnik – among the 10 best-preserved medieval walled cities in the world. After the breakup of Yugoslavia, it was besieged by the Serb and Montenegrin soldiers and suffered significant damage from shelling.
Ston – a village outside of Dubrovnik. Walls of Ston were known as the “European wall of China”.
Split – on the Dalmatian Coast, and known for its beaches and the Diocletian Palace; built by the Roman emperor in the 4th century.
Trogir – historic town and harbor on the Adriatic coast.
Zagreb – the capital. Oldest settle in the urban area of Zagreb was a Roman town of Andautonia, from the 1st century AD.
